Case Study
This is a functional case study of a fictional Doctor's Office.
What we are presenting is a scenario where a Doctor's office has requested a web site that will allow their patients to come to their web site, start a profile, set appointments and view data permitted by the office administration. This case does not show a "look" for the site, rather the functions that could be built into such a site.
On the Doctor's administrative side the permitted administrator(s) would be able to set blocks of availability per doctor for appointments, automatically send appointment reminders to patients and/or doctors, view, update and comment on each patient, group patients by doctor, area or ailment or a combination thereof.
Maps are also implemented and could be used for tracking of possible outbreaks in any particular area, mapping for house calls (do doctors still do that?) or any other applicable geo purpose.
We've broken the case into 3 parts, views and maps, profiles and appointment management. Also, you will note on all of the case-study pages 2 blocks that appear on the left. They are the upcoming doctor's appointments which will show up to 5 of the upcoming appointments and the mini calendar which is there for quick links to any days the doctor may want to view appointments in. Please let us know if you would like a on hands demo with full doctor permissions.
When planning your design, we work closely with you to implement and integrate your design and data logic. This case scenario illustrates just a few of the things possible and can be expanded and/or adapted to any need. We have outlined a few of areas that you'll see here:
